Very very wet night. Heavy rain on the roof. We were thankful we had
booked a taxi for 6.15am instead of using the train, would have got very
wet walking to and from the train station. Arrived at Barrack Street
wharf to wait for Luke who was doing the Perth backpackers pickup. He
arrived right on time at 7.15. We meet Luke all dressed up and ready to
tour.

| So, it's very, very early. G'day from Perth, Straya, Luke LOVED the Perth hats!!! |
All passengers correct and accounted for, by this time too the
rain had stopped and we left an overcast Perth morning for the trip
north
Had a coffee stop at Lancelin.
On the road to the Pinnacles, amazing sites of calcium stalagmites
everywhere all colours of reds. oranges and all those in between. A walk
around there then a short drive for a lunch stop at Jurien Bay.
On to some sand boarding, we all had a go and we proved very
skilled at sliding down the sand dunes, no injuries reported but sand
was in every packet and place!!
Two hours to Geralton, fuel stop then an hour to our overnight stop at Horrocks. A very long first day, and thanks to some regular advice
from all the family Luke seemed to cope well with his adoring crowd.
Arrived at Horrocks at 6.30pm, had tea and a couple of drinks and early night for a 4.30 alarm!!!!
